About Yes-youcan.org
September 5th, 2008
After the 2004 US election, a group of American Citizens understood the effect that their election results will have on the rest of the world. They were right.
Four years later, the world is still suffering for what the Bush Administration did in the past years. They understood that the US Presidential Election has repercussions all over the world, and they launched the Sorry everybody site to tell the world that they tried but unfortunaly failed on they quest to change things in their country and therefore in the world.
Now, four years later, those ashamed citizens that four years ago were sorry about the elections results, have a new opportunity to change things around, not only in America but also all over the world. We need to tell them that they’re not alone in their quest. That every vote for Barack Obama means hope not only for the US, but also for the rest of the world.
The spirit of change that surrounds the Obama Campaign also inspired yes-youcan.org. It a site designed to encourage the American citizens, to tell them that behind each vote resides the hope of many citizens of the world. People willing to see a new America, people hoping to see a fully integrated country in to the global concert of nations, working together to build a new world in important issues such as environment, poverty, security and peace.
We are extending an invitation to the citizens of the world to show their support to the American People in these important times. To do this, submit your picture with a Sign that says: yes you can: the world is with you. Put in your message your name and your country of origin. Please don’t include any offensive commentary, this is an effort based on peace, diversity and a sense of global fraternity.
This is our time to let them know, that the world is with them.
That all of us, together, we can make this world a better place to live.
The yes-youcan team.
